I'm kind of jealous, but also it makes it really enjoyable to listen to, even when hearing one of their songs for the first time because it kind of feels like i already know the song. I tend to not pay too much attention to lyrics, and like them to be more abstract. But i love the singers' voices in this band. But mostly, i love their guitar parts😍. Sometimes, probably like 5 subtle parts happening at once. And not cluttered, just beautiful. Really nice distortion/gain on their electrics, nice harmony, simple solos, and nice builds. And seeing Freddy Highmore figure out stuff i guess gave some fulfillment as well. Though I thought the dialogue felt rushed and poorly put together and it had the feel of a movie done in another language, probably Spanish, and translated to English (which for me, is distracting). This is probably me just being too used to Hollywood movies🤷‍♂️.

My instinct with this show was to take it too seriously, but i think if you listen to all the dialogue there is humor in basically every line. I thought it especially gained traction in the 2nd season. Alot of weird, odd moments and just pretty silly. I can tell this show has been written by alot of very funny people.

It is however book one of a trilogy so i'm hoping there is better stuff to come. The main character is currently running an inn and seems to be in hiding for a reason we aren't quite sure of yet. But the book is him telling his story to a scribe who is visiting the inn. His story starts as a very young boy traveling with his parents, some devastating things happen to him that are so incredibly sad and he lives by himself for years after. He eventually attends a university where he learns more about himself, the arcane arts, runes, and stuff like the use of 'sympathy', and trying to learn more about 'the Chandrian'. I appreciated that the author took the time to explain how some of the magic worked, the mindset behind it but i would of liked to see more development in how the magic is used. Alot of time passes throughout this short book, but there really isn't much action, but there kind of is? Apparently i need action scenes to be interested in a story 😆. Every part of the story has 2 or 3 main characters just talking about power and technology and how they are going to convince other planets to not be 'barbaric'. I thought the concept of how they use religion very interesting (or maybe this is what all religion really is🤔) And at the beginning, i was immediately intrigued by Hari Seldon's character, but then he's gone and just shows up like every 500 years or so with a 'live' or 'prerecorded' message (I may of missed that as to which). So i don't know if i want to continue with this series. And i'm giving this a higher rating than what i think the book is worth just because i respect Asimov...

Interesting to see the occasional reference made in the show to our area (like calling their zoo 'essex county zoo') Just really well made and so interesting, the main kid really cute and great actor. I did however stop watching it for now. It was just too much for me, with a virus bringing the world into a post-apocolyptoc future, people having to wear masks, the show portraits authority as being very controlling. The main character is a very young boy/hybrid who loses his parents to the virus and so he is left to fend for himself at the age of 10. Many people left in the world blame the hybrids for the virus so some hunt them. The show, as far as I've watched it, is not as intense as 'the walking dead', but there are similar moral dilema/intense situations. So yeah, we will see if i continue. 🤷‍♂️

If i would of bought this or paid any money at all i wouldn't been upset actually, but thankfully i listened to the audio books through cloud library while i worked and no time was really wasted. This story takes place present day and takes into account previous magic fictions. And i felt it was kind of a blend of previous works and borrowing from Tolkien, Lewis's Narnia series and the Harry Potter world too. The story, for me, just kind of depressed me. If anything, my take away was that the main character couldn't appreciate the journey of his adventure and kept waiting 'to arrive' and i thought that was pretty real. Overall, i think the story was pretty realistic. But it kind of sucked. This could make a great tv series or movie series, because it could improve on its decent foundation.

Wow, what a story! The things that this family went through! What seems like such senseless violence too. Hearing Bakr's story helped me also respect the religion he comes from. Once i started reading this i was interested right away and didn't want to put it down.

The band uses a 90's (i think it's 90s anyways) sound throughout and it sounds very natural to me. The wording and phrases used at times in their lyrics, their base lines, keyboard, guitar tracks and vocals all just sound really great to me. I've pressed 'like' on almost every track of this album. The 2min intro track to this is pretty fantastic with the off-time drumming and a few of the songs i thought had a nice build up of energy.

It's black with red on the ends of the pages and it has a nice visual theme throughout, it's beautifully dark. I can relate to what Kathy and Maggie already mentioned, I found it slow to start but it definitely picked up after that. It is ridiculous how young the characters are supposed to be, and it ended up being a fun story (with a bit of a dark feel to it). The setting is dark and grimy and some violent stuff happens, but the character interactions are funny (kind of like Guardians of the Galaxy maybe). Once 'the heist' was on it's way I just wanted to keep reading. I'm already starting on the next book!

Easy-going and really thoughtful and pleasant sound. Listening to their music i usually get sort 'spiritual' take aways as their lyrics gently remind me to soul search and reflect.
