Normal People

⭐ 9.5/10

This is a show about two people, Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar Jones, that documents their relationship from last year of high school to last year of university. This show really is something and it’s not hard to see why this put especially Paul on the map.

The overarching thread that makes this show so good is the undeniable chemistry between the leads. I don’t even know if I think they’re good for each other but I want them together so bad. I want them to experience stability and happiness and joy within each other.

This show is heavy, vulnerable, emotional, exhausting. I think it has a lot to say and I wish I was more perceptive but I really loved it. I think it touches on class and the different responses to life based on how they were raised. Another big theme of this show is sex, and so I feel like I can’t properly recommend it to most people. If you’re in the mood for something jarring yet amazing, check this out.
