Sense and Second-Degree Murder - Tirzah Price

⭐ 8.0/10

What can I say, I just love mysteries based on Austen characters! This is a YA retelling of Sense and Sensibility except there's a murder to solve! Mr. Dashwood is a detective and suddenly dies, and the Dashwood sisters aren't convinced he died naturally. Elinor loves chemistry while Marianne wants to carry on the detective agency business, so they work together to find out who killed their father.

This book is definitely more heavy on the mystery and light on the romance, to the point where they weren't really believable, but I always love a fun take on an Austen novel, especially when it's something other than P&P.
