So I watched this based on Joes review. It’s hard to watch something that has affected someone so deeply and not feel the same way. I liked this movie a lot and think it was really cool and artsy but I didn’t love it nor did it emotionally affect me too much.
I love Paul Mescal, and the daughter was also incredible. It’s a pretty simple plot yet a lot of it felt metaphorical and a lot was left unsaid. It did make me want to go to Turkey though.
It was beautiful to see this male character be vulnerable, love his daughter, teach her important things, but then also break down, have pride, be embarrassed by her. Very complex, very dynamic.
