A River Enchanted - Rebecca Ross

This is a gorgeous Scottish-inspired fantasy story that swept me away. Jack is a bard who gets called back to his home island to help call the spirits so that they can find out what's happened to their young girls who have been stolen away. His story is entwined with the laird's daughter, the captain guard, and a healer, as they all worry about their loved ones and their home. I thought the world was beautiful, the characters were lovable, and the themes of home, loss, and love were just wonderful.
