Farmer Giles of Ham - JRR Tolkien

⭐ 8.5/10

Another short by Tolkien. Really loved this one. Honestly it had more of a "modern" comedic feeling than I expected. I don't want to spoil it, but it felt a lot like those Coen Brothers stories where ordinary people accidentally get wrapped up in things much bigger than themselves.

This is a pretty short story so I'll try to keep the review short in turn. It's funny, it's cute, and it retains that medieval-fable style that Tolkien is so great with. There is also a dragon named Chrysophylax Dives and that name goes hard, even for Tolkien.

Definitely worth the hour or two it takes to read.
