It's Christmas movie season and I'm always looking for the next classic. A musical featuring the greatest Christmas movie lead of all time? How could this go wrong??

Ryan Reynolds, that's how. Man, I hate that fricker. Nobody is unfunnier in all of Hollywood. Name me one role this guy has been in where he's been funny. None? Thought so.

Unfortunately this is also completely the wrong role for Will Ferrell as well. The problem with him here is that this is a musical and Will Farrel can't sing. Why does this keep happening? This isn't La La Land where you actually need good acting to make it work. Cast some singers! This movie is a full cast of people who can't sing and so to cover it up they give them this very weird autotune and it's all very bad. They filmed the movie in New York - was every aspiring Broadway actor busy?

There are actually a lot of pretty good songs here, so it's a shame they squandered it. I kept thinking that some moments would really work if anyone but Will Ferrell was signing. There were also some kinda funny parts, but unfortunately they also did the thing where they had an intern scan twitter to look for some jokes. They don't work in real life! Ryan Reynolds saying "that's a choice" made me want to die.

I am trying to think of some positives because I know I didn't hate most of this movie. But I can't really think of any. I just hate Ryan Reynolds and I hate people reading tweets and so I can't say anything nice here.
