The Banshees of Inisherin

⭐ 8.5/10

I too have been thinking about this movie a lot since I watched it. I think I really liked it but boy was I anxious for a resolution. I guess I am a sucker for a good, happy ending. Although I’m not sure that’s what we get with this conclusion.

Im not a huge Colin Ferrel fan but I loved him in this. He’s just like me, self conscious about his relationships, but thinking and knowing to his core that he’s a nice person.

They talk about being nice quite a bit and it comes to a boil in a drunken confrontation. Really weighing legacy vs relationships, and what we invest our time in and what we deem important.

The sister, Siobhan was very clearly the best speaking character (next to Donkey Jenny). She also had to make some hard decisions about life and relationships.

This movie was quite strange, and while I liked it, I don’t know if I’d actually tell anyone to go see it. I just can’t imagine a lot of the people I know enjoying it.
