I Love You, Man

I feel like this is a movie I've heard of since forever but never actually considered watching. I should have considered sooner! I really enjoyed it mostly because I felt it super relatable. This is a movie about Paul Rudd getting engaged, and then when it comes time to fill out his wedding party he realizes he has no close male friends.
Now, I actually did manage to fill out my wedding party, though I definitely had to beg Willy. I do indeed have some close male friends. But especially since moving to Toronto, I could totally relate to not having that go-to guy to hang out with on a whim, and related to how hard it is to make friends as an adult. It's definitely more perilous and vulnerable than dating ever was! I think I'll have to implement some of Paul Rudd's methods, but his pain was very real.
This movie is quite funny besides. It's almost too real in some ways, but they really nailed that experience. I have always loved Paul Rudd and he was great here. Also Rashida Jones is an angel. A great cast within a good movie. Totally recommend, though with some minor content warnings.
