The Rehearsal
⭐ 6.5/10

I have a huge love-hate with Nathan Fielder because I never laugh so hard as when I'm watching his stuff, but also most of it is unwatchable due to secondhand embarrassment. I die any time I watch Nathan for You, but also I haven't even finished a season because it physically pains me to watch that show.
This show is a little easier on the nerves, but unfortunately that means it's also not as funny. There is still some incredible highs, but honestly I only had those laughing meltdowns in the first and last episode as far as I can remember. Otherwise, it's a pretty painful show to watch all for some moderate laughs. These shows are really all about how much pain you are willing to tolerate, and it just wasn't quite worth it here.
As far as the emotional moments go, I have never ever felt anything close to genuine emotion while watching this because it all just feels so fake and uncomfortable. However, the last episode did make me feel a liiiiittle something. I still don't think it was a nice emotion or something that would raise the score, but I can at least kinda see what people see in this show in that regard.
So yeah, not that great to me, and I liked Nathan for You a bit better. However, I would encourage people to watch that first episode cuz that one was a 10.
