Sword of Destiny - Andrzej Sapkowski

This is technically book 2 of the Witcher series but just like the last book another collection of short stories. There were a lot of fun stories in this one that I really enjoyed and they set up the proper storyline too.
I have only ever read The Hobbit by Tolkien but it’s so clear where Sapkowski gets his inspiration from. The world is large and the monsters are scary. But the heroes are noble and strong and funny and witty!
I love Geralt and think he is such a well written character. He is definitely not faultless and yet he can do no wrong in my eyes. Low key but high key love Yennifer and that romance. Ya they’re toxic but so am I!
A lot of talk of destiny which I really love actually. The ending, I think, set up the main story line well and I really really loved the relationship dynamics between Ciri and Geralt. While I am excited to read the rest of the series eventually, I think it will have to take the backseat for a little while now until Joseph completes a book I bought him.
