⭐ 7.5/10

This is again a cool early 2010s movie I hadn't really heard of that I wish I had. The premise is Jake Gyllenhaal involved in a secret military operation where his consciousness is shifted to another person so that he can help prevent terrorist attacks. It's a cool little sci-fi twist with lots more twists as you go along, always keeping you guessing and trying to figure out what the heck is going on.

It's great, and I really feel like I can't say too much without spoiling stuff, so all I'll say is it was a nice sci-fi entry with a unique flavor. I thought some of the deeper moments didn't connect with me, and I also think the ending kinda worked too nicely and didn't allow for what could have been some intriguing conflict (the ending is totally not what one would expect). It combines some pretty popular scientific theories with some popular pseudo-science theories and I'm not totally sure it all worked for me, but I admit that at 90 minutes, this movie doesn't ask too much from you and it well worth the time.
