Ace - Angela Chen

⭐ 10.0/10

(Originally written by Magdalene)

This is a book about asexuality, written by an asexual person, and what it says about society and the way we view sex and love. It defines asexuality, of course, and the whole spectrum of what that can mean. I learned a lot about the history of asexuality, sexual desire, and the intersection with gender, disability, romantic vs. platonic love, and more. Very interesting and beneficial, whether for someone who might be on the ace spectrum or not. I especially liked the way it addressed questions about what the difference is between desire and love, a crush and platonic love, friendship and committed platonic partners. Much to think about.
