Sad. Sweet. More sad. Devastating sad.

This is a brilliant book, but very sad. If you haven't heard of it, the book follows a man and his son as they travel along The Road going south in a post-apocalyptic North America. There's no real hope or goal to their journey, other than survival. They run into a few people, some good guys and some really, really bad people, but the heart of the story is the relationship between the man and his son. It's a deep dive into what matters in life, choosing to keep going in the face of abject hopelessness. It was really good, but really, really sad. I would encourage you to read it, but only if you're in a good head space.
