Shackleton

⭐ 8.5/10

As much as I loved the Endurance book, I did feel like I was missing out on a visual aspect of the story, so watching this two-episode 2002 miniseries starring Kenneth Branagh really rounded out the experience. It did spend WAY too long on the stuff leading up to the expedition (just get on the boat!) but it covered the events of the expedition itself really well, and added that sense of humanity to the story. It was a bit hard to keep track of who was who, especially with so many of them being named Frank, but I really enjoyed it regardless. I know they stayed really faithful to some of the real photos and short videos saved from the actual expedition, so it was nice to see it kind of come to life.
