On the Noodle Road - Jen Lin-Liu

⭐ 8.0/10

(Originally written by Magdalene)

The author loves food and especially noodles, and when she starts seeing similarities between the noodles she eats in China and the ones she eats in Italy, she gets interested in how they change and differ along the Silk Road, which might also be the path noodles took when globalization started. So she travels along the "Noodle Road", learning to cook dishes from each area and meeting different people. There aren't actually as many noodles as I expected, and don't expect to find out where they originated, but it was fun and informative about a bunch of different cultures and countries. I now want to spend all of my money on food and airplane tickets.
