A Brutal Telling - Louise Penny

Inspector Gamache #5. A dead body has shown up in Olivier and Gabri's bistro, but everybody in Three Pines claims not to know him or how he died. We know Olivier knows the man, but not why he's lying about it or what their relationship truly was.
This book was unique in the series because it didn't end with everything tied up neatly, and we need to read the next book to find out more. This book also centered heavily on one villager who we've known throughout the series, and is now legitimately a suspect. I appreciated that, because for the first time the murderer might be someone we care about, and so the stakes are different. I continue to love Gamache.
