Succession (Season 2)
⭐ 8.5/10

We're really flying through this show. It's totally gripping! Did I think I'd care so much about which bad person gets to take control of an evil company? Never! But that's the true quality of this show.
I thought this season was great in ways very similar to the first. I'd say both seasons were 8.5s to me, with the finale of season 1 putting it up a full point. But otherwise not much to add from the first season. The acting, clever writing and dark humor are all top notch, and the big budget sets are perfect. They also get a ton of mileage out of their music, using just a couple themes in every episode. I'd like to see a bit more plot progression, but the season 2 finale makes it clear that something has to give here.
I also think that by now, a lot of these characters are not necessarily more developed as nobody besides maybe Ken has much of an arc, but a lot of characters like Greg, Connor and Mr Darcy really find their groove, more like in a good comedy. Lots of "classic Greg" being shouted from the couch now and me covering my head with my blanket knowing I'm about to get some serious secondhand embarrassment. Great stuff.
