How to Be a Tudor - Ruth Goodman

⭐ 8.0/10

(Originally written by Magdalene)

This was a super nerdy book for me to read - it's a non-fiction book talking about different aspects of daily life for the Tudors, focusing on the average person. It includes things like what they ate, what their beds were like, what they did for fun, etc. The author obviously knows her stuff, and I loved it when she included her own experiences of trying out things like Tudor recipes, beds, and bathing habits. She includes info on how we know what we know about Tudor people and what we're still not sure of. It was really accessible and an enjoyable listen, and it gives me a deeper understanding of people's lives in the past, how we've changed, and all that.
