Small Spaces - Katherine Arden

⭐ 9.0/10

(Originally written by Rebecca)

Took a brief break from rereading every Murderbot book for the 5th time to read a middle grade spooky book for spooky season! I read the whole thing on the train ride home from Toronto, when it was dark and wet, which was honestly the perfect vibe. It's definitely Horror Lite, since it's for young teens, but I'll admit I got a little spooked. The author did a fantastic job with the setting and tension. My biggest qualm was that there wasn't enough utilization of small spaces! It's right in the title, and they barely even used them! But still. A banger.
