It: Chapter One

This was our Halloween night pick this year, and I've heard so much about it from Becky I decided to finally see it for myself. This kind of horror isn't generally my thing, but it was the group of kids and the friendship themes that drew me.

Well, this movie certainly is scary. The clown is terrifying and some pretty horrific things happen to kids, but there weren't a lot of moments when I had to look away. I thought all of the child actors were phenomenal and it made me want to watch everything these kids have been in. But like, the story didn't make that much sense? Becky told me that it's horror and I shouldn't ask so many questions about how things work, but since horror is pretty much fantasy, I still like my world-building to be thorough and for there to be in-world logic.
