I cannot recommend this movie to anyone, because it was SO bloody and brutal and gross. LOTS of blood, torture, and also some pretty explicit sex. I looked away many times. And honestly, the premise wasn't that fresh. Career assassin (Mads Mikkelsen again!) wants to retire, but his employer is trying to kill him so that he doesn't get his pension payout. Meanwhile, Mads is haunted by all the things he's done. Classic! A lot of people died, as you would expect. And I would have been fine with the story, but it was just way too graphic. But it did strike up a long conversation/argument about revenge and justice and killing people who wronged you vs killing people who tried to kill you, so that was fun. I think the moral of this story was: don't try to kill someone who's made a career out of killing people. Also, don't be a career assassin. It can't end well!

Anyway. What a wild movie to feature Vanessa Hudgens.
