This movie is so good. Seen it a couple times now, and basically every 5 minutes I am like, oh ya, this scene, love this scene. For a longer movie it moves really quickly, and it does a great job with the passage of time. Years pass, but the story doesn't feel disjointed at all.

You get to see a guy join and move through the mob from his own eyes, but also through the eyes of his wife, and I felt like her story stuck out the most to me here. Mafia movies always include someone who seems to be innocent who joins the ride and becomes complicit, and I just find that viewpoint to be really effective. She starts out judging the other wives and their way of life, but she becomes the same, if not worse, than them.

It's also great seeing these people who consider themselves gods having to face reality, and justice arrives for every single one of them. Highly recommend watching The Irishman after this one, since it is very much a spiritual sequel that deals more with the consequences of a life lived like this.

This movie is a roller coaster, and if you can handle an incredible amount of profanity its a must watch. Shoutout to stopping at mom's house for some spaghetti before taking her shovel to bury a guy.
