Call of the Sea

I just got an Xbox, and this was my first ever game on it! I've been wanting to play it for months, but my laptop couldn't handle it and it was pretty pricey for a fairly short game, so I was excited it was on Gamepass. It's a puzzle mystery game about the search for your husband (who left to find a cure for your mysterious illness) on a strange island with a dark, bizarre history that you slowly uncover as you follow your husband's expedition, and things get pretty weird. It has a very magical but somewhat ominous atmosphere, and the graphics were gorgeous. The puzzles were never incredibly hard, but kept me engaged, and the story was really well integrated. I thought I was exploring every nook and cranny, but only got like 51% of the achievements, so I can't imagine what completionism looks like. Still, incredible story, and a really difficult choice at the end that left me weeping a bit. My biggest qualm throughout was how sloooow you move sometimes. Let me sprint faster!
