The Anthropocene Reviewed - John Green

⭐ 10.0/10

(Originally written by Magdalene)

Somehow I was able to be the first person to put this book on hold on CloudLibrary, and start reading it the day it came out! This is John Green's first non-fiction book, and it's an essay collection that is part memoir and part explorations of human society and living in a human-focused age. It was written during the pandemic, so he writes a lot about it, and that was super interesting. It's a book that's difficult to describe, but it's personal, moving, funny, and so interesting and informative. Green covers a lot of topics and his essays cover elements of history, pop culture, sociology, and more, and he is such a smart and insightful person.
