I feel like this was nearly the perfect movie for me. It definitely toes that line of being too scary for a baby like me, but I think it is generally in that safe zone of being creepy without being straight up horror. As a result, it basically has you on the edge of your seat the whole way, engaging the audience, making you question everything you think you know and never letting you trust anyone. Really intense stuff, but in a good way.
There was also some great acting, great cinematography, and great writing including some truly hilarious comedic breaks. I haven't heard this before, but I think there are some natural similarities to Parasite in terms of structure and style as well as having this big house that starts to feel like a character. I feel like I'll remember a lot of these scenes and set pieces for some time.
There were a few scenes that seem like plot holes unless I missed something, but I can overlook those because they felt great in the moment. Overall this movie comes juuust short of a perfect score because although this movie made me feel things, they weren't always emotions I was wanting to feel. Great stuff. Full recommend if you can tolerate creepiness (about the same as Quiet Place, for reference).
