17 Again

We watched this as a part of a birthday watch-along with friends, and I was pretty sure I had seen it before, but had forgotten most of it. Matthew Perry is my least favourite of the Friends cast, and I don't love him here, but I didn't mind Zac Efron. Basically a freaky Friday style switch, which results in some classic funny moments as he interacts with his son, daughter and ex-wife, only in his 17 year old body.
Some of the jokes are actually hilarious, most of which revolve around the inappropriate actions he takes around his ex-wife. There is also a really nerdy side-kick that provides some laughs, but for the most part its just an average comedy.
Basketball is also a big part of this movie, and it is all so poorly done it really just takes me out of it. Zac has some game, but the positions they put him in and the way they film it is all so unflattering. Overall a somewhat fun watch, but I would never seek this movie out on my own.
