Zack Snyder’s Justice League

⭐ 5.5/10

This has got to be one of the most self-indulgent messes I have ever seen. I was excited for this movie, but what I got was an overlong, unedited CGI fest. At least it was somewhat entertaining I guess.

I have never seen the original Justice League (that being the Joss Whedon cut), so I had nothing to compare the Snyder Cut to, but from what I understand this is still an improvement which makes me glad that I never saw the original.

Every single scene in this movie overstays its welcome by about 5 minutes (especially in the first half), and even with all of the added backstory for all of the characters I still couldn't find myself interested in them. The pacing is super weird and I felt bored a couple of times, which I don't think should happen in a superhero movie. It just was not that interesting of a movie, and there was no reason for it to be 4 hours long. I understand that this was supposed to be Zach Snyders original vision, but this is just a complete mess.

Despite all of my criticisms, I didn't absolutely hate it. There was some cool action sequences, and some of the CGI was good I guess (although some of it is absolutely horrible). I honestly kind of enjoyed some of the scenes with Aquaman, despite really not liking his solo movie. I didn't dislike any of the leads, the acting was pretty decent for the most part.

One more criticism I have is the amount of slow motion that is used in this movie. I know that everyone complains about it, but seriously, there was way too much. After the fifth slow motion sequence of the Flash running I was getting so so sick of it.

Overall, not the worst movie I have every seen, but pretty bad honestly. I don't think I will ever watch this one again haha (sorry Mr. Snyder)
