Iron Giant

⭐ 9.5/10

Damn, does this movie hit hard as an adult. I didn't really remember anything about it, having not seen it since I was probably 5 or 6, but I think it would have been a completely new experience regardless. I got genuinely emotional a few times. The running themes of choosing who you want to be, and what it means to be good, really got me. I'm also super weak for robots who gain sentience and feelings, so all around this one was a guaranteed winner for me. When Hogarth said "I love you" to the robot I wanted to burst into tears. I could weep just thinking about it.
