Dune Messiah - Frank Herbert

⭐ 8.5/10

(Originally written by Beans)

This is the second book in the Dune series. It follows Paul as Emperor of the world and everything that comes along with that.

I thought this book was written really well and loved the pacing. It was a slow burn and yet climactic all at once.

The world Herbert has built is incredible. So many interesting characters and the politics are deep; the only downside to this is I had a hard time following where he was going. A lot of the politics went right over my head.

I know a lot of people say this is the weakest of the 6 written by Frank but I still enjoyed it! The philosophical aspect made me think a lot and I think Paul Atreides is an incredible character.
