Dark (Season 3)

This show was really something else. Kind of impossible to talk about, given that it is the most complicated show I have ever seen, but it reminded me of Lost right up to the final season. I don't think this final season was that bad, but the show is so high concept that wrapping it up is almost impossible to do in a way that would please everyone.

There were many satisfying moments as the incredible knot the show has created finally completes. However, with the introduction of a parallel universe that is stuck in a "quantum loop" with the universe we know, it means you end up watching moments you have seen before but mirrored in an interesting way. Kind of set everything in place and made the previous events make more sense, but it means the show lost its momentum a bit, since you are less on your toes.

As complicated as the show is, it is pretty incredibly mapped out, and they answer literally every question you could have about it. That's not to say I understand everything that happened, but I am confident its all there. It is so detail oriented, I am constantly impressed at how difficult it would have been to weave together a story like this. The final episodes do a great job tying a bow on everything as well.

If you love time sci-fi, time travel, alternate universes, all in a moody German small town, I highly recommend this show. Just prepare yourself with a pen and paper so you can map the family trees of everyone on the show.
