This is a game in the SteamWorld Universe, but totally different than the Dig games. It's a turn-based strategy game, kinda like Worms from back in the day (but way better).

I loved this game. I love that these developers make the games they clearly want to make and don't just follow their winning formula (they also made a deck building game?!). It feels like they had fun making the game. Along with being smart, technical and tight, it's also funny and endearing. I had no idea if I'd like a game like this, and I kinda only bought it because it was on sale and I wanted to try something new. But this is now my kind of game. I was super into it by the end, passing on anything else in favor of this game.

I was tempted to give it a 10, but I just couldn't give it the same score as Red Dead (and I'm not sure how I feel about it being the same as The Last of US II...). But this game is just terrific. If you see it on sale in the switch store, don't pass on it.
