Kids of Appetite - David Arnold

I started reading this book with no idea where it was headed since I didn't read the back! It's an incredibly heart-felt tale of a teenaged boy whose father has died and his mother is seemingly moving on which sets him on a course to meet the most beloved group of misfits. And the plot thickens from there. Some pretty intense and crazy things happen and my mind was blown. The author worked really hard to write a few heavy things well (living with Moebius syndrome, and living through the Congo civil war). I was so incredibly invested and moved. Not at all a light-hearted read but I absolutely loved it.
