Midsommar

⭐ 5.5/10

I’m not too sure why I watched this. There was so much hype around it that I couldn’t resist I guess. The film is about a young couple that goes to Sweden with friends to visit a commune and participate in the midsummer festivals. Turns out it’s a cult and people are dying.

I had to watch this movie in a few different sittings because it was horrifying. It was so scary, and I couldn’t watch some of the scenes. I was also scared to go to bed for a few nights - I don’t know why I do this to myself.

The movie was creative, and was supposed to reflect and be a metaphor for the directors broken relationship. I don’t recommend it, unless you like scary movies. Florence Pugh was amazing though!!
