Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Season 4)

It just gets better and better. The storylines seems to be getting darker as the series progresses, and it's great. I don't need to see any more Jar Jar missions thank you very much (although the one in this season isn't too bad).
This season started slow for me with a long arc about an attack on Mon Cala. Much like video games, under water episodes/levels suck. But it has some awesome multi-episode arcs, including:
- One where there is a Jedi commander that shows no remorse for having clones killed in battle, and how the clones react to this.
- One where Anakin and Obi-Wan and Ahsoka are enslaved.
- One where Obi-Wan fakes his death and goes under cover as a bounty hunter to uncover a plot against the Chancellor.
- The Nightsisters vs the Separatists!
Like the seasons before these all serve as incredible expansions of the Star Wars universe, and we get to know more about characters we already love. Seeing battles that don't include a Republican side are especially interesting, and cool examples of how the Clone Wars really were galaxy spanning and effected everyone.
And the ending (spoilers, which shouldn't matter if you have gotten this far)! Darth Maul returning is another great way to get more on a character who is dramatically under-utilized in the movies.
I also appreciate the further criticism of the Jedi, and painting Anakin as an even more tragic figure. For example, the Jedi fake Obi-Wan's death, and tell all Jedi except Anakin, since his grief will be the only thing to convince the bad guys that he is actually dead. Hello!? No wonder he doesn't trust the Jedi and goes crazy! Every time he force chokes someone in this series I get excited, since his transformation really is the through line in Star Wars.
This show has gotten better every season, and I get the feeling that that trend will continue.
