I've been reading a few romance novels lately because sometimes you just need something light and heartwarming where you're guaranteed a happily ever after, and I've been pleased to have found some that I did really enjoy, including this one!
Our main couple is already engaged, and although when they got engaged they were super in love and excited to move in together, ten months later they can barely stand each other. Naomi decides to try pissing off Nicholas so much that he'll call off the wedding so she doesn't have to do it, and thinks he's doing the same. They give up trying to show each other only the best parts of themselves, which of course makes them learn more about each other.
At first I was none too sure about this book, because I didn't like Naomi. She did seem really fake and unkind to Nicholas, although through her eyes he did seem like kind of a jerk. But then I found their petty pranks super hilarious, and was excited to see their relationship shift. I'm not in a romantic relationship, but found the concepts and the things they learned still applied to relationships with anyone, about being honest with each other, being present, and the importance of kindness. It ended up being really quite touching, and I can see people in relationships especially enjoying it. Heads up for a few spicy scenes!
