The Language of Flowers - Vanessa Diffenbaugh

⭐ 9.0/10

This book was heavy. It is about a young girl that's been in the foster care system for her whole life and it can be brutal. I looooved learning about the language of flowers (used in courtship in the Victorian era, I believe). This book was quite a journey for me discovering why the main character acted out the way she did. I was rooting for her so much but her life was just SO HARD! Anyway, it's a beautiful, messy, redemptive story that I'm better for having read!
