The Eye of the World - Robert Jordan

⭐ 7.0/10

I read this because I'm a supportive wife (as I have with most fantasy books Tim has recommended to me). So far, he's been super successful in getting me hooked on his fantasy favourites. It's my least favourite of his recommendations I've read so far, but it's still quite good. I felt like it just took the author a LOT of words to accomplish NOT very much. The book was a bit slow to get started, and then stayed kinda slow.

The characters are great though, and I felt invested enough to keep reading.

Glad I did because book 2 is already better than the first.

Am I 12-more-books-in-this-13-book-Wheel-of-Time-saga level invested? Only time will tell. The pattern weaves as it will or something like that.
