The Aviator

I had no idea what this movie was about and no idea what to expect, but I suppose I knew I wouldn't be let down by a Scorsese/ Leo combo. When I realized a few minutes and one Google search in that this was a biopic, it definitely heightened my interest. This movie, like the life of Howard Hughes, was a total roller coaster throughout. I appreciate that this movie neither demonizes nor glorifies mental health and what it is to live with extreme OCD. It was horrific at times and made me feel queasy just watching, but it was also evident that he could be wildly successful despite it.

This was a classic Leo performance and I think much of the uneasiness I felt was due to his acting. Also just a really interesting story that had me rifling through Hughes's wiki page afterwards.
