This is an American/Korean hybrid movie directed by Bong Joon-ho (Parasite guy) that touches on a lot of major themes like animal cruelty and corporate greed. Similar to Parasite, it's pretty light and funny for the most part, but has some scenes that are quite dark and serious. Initially I wasn't sure how I felt about that contrast, and felt it didn't have a clear audience, but I came to appreciate how the movie was able to do both effectively. I don't want to give anything away, so I'll just say the final scene was really impactful and one I don't expect I'll forget soon.
I am also surprised I am the first one to watch this since I know this movie has elements others value more than me (looking at you, Tim, Maggie and Becky!). This movie is on Netflix so I expect a lot more reviews of it on my feed!
