Never Have I Ever

⭐ 7.5/10

Just another Netflix teen dramedy. This one was created by Mindy Kaling, and stars an Indian girl who recently lost her dad and suffered from psychosomatic paralysis for three months. But now she's recovered and ready to be cool! Which starts with getting a boyfriend! She's got her eyes on the hottest boy in school! It's mostly a comedy, but occasionally delves into the fact that Devi (the MC) is doing anything she can to avoid processing her recent trauma.

It was fine. I had some laughs. The diverse cast was cool. Nothing groundbreaking.

These days I just want comfort entertainment, to help me forget about the dumpster fire raging outside for a few hours. This delivered.
