Finish - Jon Acuff

⭐ 8.5/10

Anyone who knows me knows I’m a “chronic starter”: I love starting stuff but have a very hard time finishing. Either I don’t plan right or it fizzles out or a million other reasons. I even framed my year with the words “focus” and “commit” because I know I don’t finish well. Cue this book.

Ive been following Jon Acuff for a while now. After I met him some years ago I signed up for his email and I follow him on socials. He’s funny, smart, and successful.

This book was great. It wasn’t like, 10 steps to success! He’s very practical, he’s concise, and he knows what he’s talking about. He included a lot of research in this one and gave a lot of great tips for finishing. But, like any self help book, you will only get out as much as you put in. And although I didn’t do all the exercises, I underlined as I went and picked up some great tools. It was a short, concise read and not overly cheesy and not fake motivational.

Guys I’m a finisher!
