A movie set 20,000 years ago, about a boy who gets separated from his tribe and is trying to find his way back with the help of a wolf.

Who doesn't love a good survival story? (As long as it's not too gory, which this one is not.) It's a pretty quiet movie, since it's mostly the boy and his wolf, which allows lots of debate on how hard it would actually be to find a small tribe in the wilderness and if a wolf would get tame that fast. And also about gender norms 20,000 years ago. Some things made me suspicious, but what the heck do I know about how people behaved in that era?

Anyway, the CGI was mostly awesome, with lots of beautiful shots, and I was really invested in that "boy and his dog" relationship. Warning: scenes of trying to survive during the winter may give you traumatic flashbacks.
