The Gamer's Guide to Getting the Girl - Kristine Scarrow

⭐ 6.0/10

I read this because I wanted something quick and light after a very heavy book, plus I want to read more Canadian authors. A gamer gets stuck in a mall in Saskatchewan during a tornado with a bunch of other people, and over the course of the harrowing night falls for a fellow gamer - a female one!

It was what I wanted - goofy and sweet, with a bit of suspense from the storm. But it definitely wasn't well-written. I'm not an expert on style, but this felt amateur to me, and the plotting was scattered. In the end I still enjoyed it, and it was only 200 pages, so I don't consider it a waste of time.
