St Patrick of Ireland: A Modern Biography - Philip Freeman

Pretty short but pretty terrific biography of a guy I soon realized I knew zero things about. There is little in terms of evidence for biographical material for his life, so a lot of the book is speculative. I think the author handles it all really well and fair, which is especially tricky when dealing with a religious figure that people idolize. It also offers a lot of historical background which I also didn't know a lot about (4-5th centuries of England and Ireland) so if you have interest in that era, or early Christian history, I think this book would be great choice.
