Matthew Good - Moving Walls

⭐ 6.5/10

(Originally written by Brandon.B.)

This is Matt Good's 9th Solo record. It seems like i enjoy every other or every third album.

I like this album for the most part. The production is silky and his vocals are mic'd really well. Coming in at 15 tracks it does get a bit too long with some tracks definitely being candidates for a b-side.

There is a lot of acoustic work on this album. More so than any other MG album. Specifically picking patterns.

I don't love the raspy thing he has being doing with his voice more and more lately.

Lots of string instruments keep the album faithful to the MG sound but it does get a bit old.

If you like Canadian Alt-rock. This is a good offering to our national catalogue.
