Paul: A Biography (N.T. Wright)

⭐ 7.0/10

(Originally written by Joseph)

In terms of a biography, this book was mostly just okay. NT Wright seemed less concerned with writing a biography than he was exploring Paul's writings and evolution of thought. He often states that his goal is to describe "what made Paul tick" which just isn't the point of a biography.

In terms of a book on theology, this book is also just okay. I've read his work before, and I just find it a bit dry. However, there was some great stuff in this book and it really helped Paul appear more human. If you read it, I would encourage reading the paper version rather than audiobook like I did so you can sit down and look stuff up as you read. Lots to learn here, but too much to plod through in order to find it.
