Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World - Jack Weathorford
⭐ 9.5/10
(Originally written by Joseph)
This book was about 1/3 biography of Genghis Khan and about 2/3 Mongolian history, and man was it fascinating. I had no particular interest in this era of history but I am really glad I decided to pick it up. It was clear and accessible and followed a pretty clear narrative. It also had a lot of comments on how he changed the world and how that extends to today. If you have any interest at all about the history of Asia, the making of empires, interesting world leaders or just general world history, I 100% recommend starting with this one. I used audiobook which was great, but I would imagine a physical copy would be even better with pictures and maps.
